Notas sobre o zooplâncton, bentos e fungos na represa Billings

Abstract

This paper presents the results of a survey performed at Billings reservoir in São Pau-lo, Brazil, where the hydrobiological parameters were studied in an attempt to establish a  hiscorical retrospeccive. The analysis of these paramecers indicated chat only the phytoplanctonic organisms ha-ve been studied in detail, while the zooplancton, the fungi and che benthic community are relatively unknown in that reservoir. These results lead to the following conclusions: the zooplancton and the macroinvertebrates do not appear in a significative number, showing the high selectivity of the aqua-tic environment. The fungi found in this study are characteristic of environments submitted to a strong organic pollution.
