Abstract

The water quality can be measured through physical, chemical and biological variables whose aim is to detect conditions that may impair the utilization of this natural resource. The numerical indices try to make easy the interpretation of lists more or less extensive of variables or indicators. This paper einphasizes the convenience of integrating the biological informations to spread the angle of vision about the aquatic environment. Each index has its own meaning and, because Of this, the data that serve as its base must not be forgotten, as also as the verification of an effect do not take out the necessity of investigating its origin.
