Abstract

By means of an analytical evaluation of the environmental concrol and the management of it, this artide attempts at studying the environment through methodological approaches of environmental im-pacts. lt discusses both socio-economical ahd bio-physical variables, as poorly studied components, in the evaluation of the impact of human acdvities on the environmenc. The rcievance of this matter arises from a resolution passed by Conama - Nacional Council for the Environment, resolving that the approval of a project that interferes in the environment requires an assessmenc of the environmencal impact, called ''Rima''. Therefore, the environmencal protection agendes now have to enforce chis resolution. Thcrc is a serious concern and a potencial interest in carrying out a discussion regarding thc political prioritics and in the institution of Rimas at state and nacional leveis.
