Abstract

It is proposed a simplified model to determine the concentrations of BOD, oxygen, colifonns and solids in suspension in reservoirs with complete moisture and variable volume. For reservoirs with sensibly constant volumes a reasonable approximation is to use_the equations developed for lakes; but if the volume varies in a wide range, this procedure can offer quite gross margins of errors, therefore requiring a more highly precise formulation. Some examples are used to corroborate these assertives.
